Deeper in colour than the 2001 Coriole Sangiovese. Translucent deep crimson with crimson mauve hue. Delightful nose, spicy, nearly perfumed, with just a hint of truffle, plum and earth. The palate flavours start slowly, but evolve to reveal flavours of earth, confectionary, cherry and plum. Soft tannins, perfect balance, followed by an aftertaste of earth, spice and plum. A soft subtle style.
