A sensational wine and rare as hens teeth as only 250 cases were made. This is the sort of fruit bomb blockbuster that makes McLaren Vale one of the great Shiraz producing areas of the world. Totally opaque black colour – with stained glass window translucency on the glass. Aroma of crushed blackberry, crushed spicy blood plum and mocca – a powerful concentrated sniff. The palate is a powerhouse of flavour, plum, spice and blackberry layers fill every corner of the mouth and are then overwhelmed by a big burst of blackpepper flavour. The experience is almost like drinking voluptuous fruit essence. Perfect tannin balance followed by an exceptionally long aftertaste of ripe plum and prunes.
Cellar 10-12 years (2013-2015)
Alc/Vol: 14.5%
