2001 Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon

Penfolds Bin 407 takes its inspiration from Bin 707, offering drinkers high quality cabernet at a more affordable price. The wine was matured for 12 months in new (23%) and older French and American oak hogheads.
One of the best Penfolds Bin 407’s in recent times, with a much finer tannin structure than in previous years. Totally opaque crimson colour. Aroma of cedar, violet and blackcurrant with delightful perfumed lift. The palate structure is refined, with beautifully integrated flavours of cedar, spice and blackcurrant. Excellent length and depth. Perfectly balanced tannins. Aftertaste of confectionary, spice and blackcurrant.
