An unusual Chardonnay in that the grapes have been botrytis affected, yet fermented dry. Ken Eckersley has sourced Chardonnay grapes from around the Bairnsdale area of Gippsland.
Brilliant gold colour with deep straw hue. Aroma of honey, apricot, yeast lees, cashew and honeycomb. The palate has impressive weight, with flavours of yeast lees, biscuit and toasted oak followed by back palate flavours of citrus and apricot. Clean acid finish. Aftertaste of honeycomb, spice and cashew.
