2001 Nicholson River Winery Late Pick Chardonnay (375ml)

Ken Eckersley is the master of the unusual, always managing to deliver flavour profiles that are both unique and yet totally expressive of their terroir. Brilliant gold colour. Exotic nose, with aroma of honey and apricot followed by a hint of lemon, toffee apple and quince. The palate flavours are luscious. Sugared almonds are overlaid with apricot, lemon and honey followed by a spicy back palate. Clean, dry finish, followed by a long aftertaste of honey, almonds, apricot, honeycomb and orange rind.
