Bottled under stelvin cap, the wine has a touch of Mouvedre and Sangiovese added to it. Deep crimson mauve colour with mauve hue. The wine is translucent. The nose is delicate, with subtle notes of raspberry and liquorice emerging followed by a ‘cherry ripe’ end note. The palate again is quite subtle and much more subdued than in previous years. Flavours of cherry and spice emerge, with hints of liquorice. The back palate is spicy. Soft tannins. Short aftertaste of cherry and spice.
