The Marzemino grape originates in the Trentino region of Italy. It ripens late and has deep colour and full body. Very deep colour, almost opaque, black purple with deep purple hue. The nose is unusual with notes of iodine, raspberry and cod liver emerging. The palate is relatively simple, with flavours of cod liver and raspberry emerging. Fine dry tannins, raspberry cod liver aftertaste.
