2001 Lark Hill Pinot Noir

Light ruby, crimson colour – almost translucent. The nose displays good varietal character with notes of strawberry, spice and stewed plum emerging followed by a toasted oak end note. The palate has very good weight and mouth feel but only a moderate power wave. Flavours of anise appear, followed by cherry, plum and strawberry. Velvet smooth tannins, excellent balance followed by a long aftertaste of cherry, plum and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years. (2005-2006)
