A big red, but on the palate the flavours are not as concentrated as expected. Very deep crimson colour, virtually opaque, with deep crimson mauve hue. Perfumed nose, top note of toasted oak followed by ripe plum, blackberry and spice. On the palate, intense flavours of dark chocolate and liquorice abound over a toasted oak background. Fine grained tannins, followed by a long aftertaste of ripe plum, dark chocolate and toasted oak.
