2001 Journeys End Vineyards Friends & Thieves Semillon

Journeys End wines have enjoyed excellent market success and are now being exported to Asia, UK, Canada and the US. Winemaker Ben Riggs sticks to his formula of overdelivering on quality. This wine is drinking very well but needs only a light chill. A dozen St Helens oysters from Tasmania is a mandatory holiday starter with this wine! Bright straw colour. Aroma of confectionary followed by hints of straw and tropical fruit. The palate is full bodied with ripe Semillon flavour profile emerging. Confectionary, hay and tropical fruit flavours are evident followed by a hint of paw paw on the back palate. Clean finish with tropical fruit, paw paw & confectionary aftertaste.
