Opaque black crimson colour, with black mauve hue. Superb nose of plum, cedar, violets, spice and blackberries followed by a liquorice end note. This is classic Heathcote Shiraz – filled with an abundance of ripe fruit, yet quite refined. The palate with ripe plum, spice and liquorice for palate flavours followed by an evolving black pepper background, which builds like a wave and overtakes the entire palate, flowing into the aftertaste. Perfect balance with remarkable persistence. Cellar 4-5 years.
