Opaque black purple colour and mauve purple hue. The nose displays very good varietal character. Aroma of ripe spiced plum, liquorice followed by a hint of earth. The palate displays good intensity with plum and stewed fruit flavours evident, followed by a blackpepper back palate. Fine dry tannins, very well balanced with long persistent spicey blackpepper aftertaste.
