2001 J.J. Hahn Homestead Cabernet Sauvignon

This vineyard was planted in 1979 on red clay soils which are over a limestone base. Very deep brick red colour showing considerable early development due to a high pH. Aroma of stewed fruit, leather and cedar followed by a confectionary end note. The palate has flavours of spiced stewed fruit followed by a blackpepper back palate. Lingering dry tannins, followed by a leather cedar aftertaste.
