A wine that is drinking superbly. Bright, brick red colour with brick red hue. Medium body. The nose displays very good varietal characteristics with top note of blackcurrant, followed by spice and cedar. The palate has excellent weight, with fine grained tannin structure. Flavours of cedar, cigar box, blackcurrant and cassis followed by back palate flavours of dark chocolate and mocha. Very long aftertaste with nuances of mint and earth emerging.
Cellar: 3-4 years (2007-2008).
