The Dal Zotto Merlot suffers, like too many Australian Merlots, from a lack of definitive style. Bright crimson colour with crimson hue. Medium body. Aroma of mulberry, spice and cassis, with hints of strawberry and tea leaf. The palate has modest length with hints of tea leaf again evident. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of tea leaf and blackcurrant.
