If one imagined Rutherglen reds to be big, then that thought will have to remain in the imagination. Gone are the days when the reds could be described as a ‘three course meal with cigar included’. The trend is to produce lighter more elegant wines, which we believe is contrary to what the terroir of the region expresses best.

Brick red colour with brick red hue. Aroma of spiced plum and stewed fruit. Translucent. Notes of iodine, spice and stewed cherry emerge, followed by a confectionary end note. Flavours of stewed plum, leather and spice emerge. Dry tannins with aftertaste of stewed fruit, leather and confectionary.
