2001 Browns' of Padthaway Myra Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Very deep crimson/brick red colour. The nose is straight forward with flavours of blackcurrant and cedar followed by a hint of leather and stalk. Plum and stewed fruit palate flavours with a hint of leaf emerging. Fine dry tannins. Aftertaste of plum and stewed fruit.

First Tasted: March 2003
A disappointing result! Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of spice and blackcurrant but from there on the wine takes a backward turn. The palate flavours are dilute and the tannins are too firm and dry to carry the fruit. Stewed fruit aftertaste.
