A well made wine, but not up to the standard of the 2000 vintage. Very deep crimson colour with crimson hue. Lifted nose of spiced plum and confectionary followed by a slightly earthy end note. On the palate, flavours of stewed plum and spice followed by a touch of liquorice and earth. Moderate length, fine dry tannins, followed by an aftertaste of earth, plum and spice.
