This wine has taken a big price rise. Very deep crimson colour with mauve hue. Superb nose of violets, blackcurrant, marzipan and spice. A delightful perfumed sniff. On the palate, layers of plum, spice and stewed plum are supported by liquorice. Good length with flavours of stewed fruit, liquorice and spice emerging. Fine grained tannins with long stewed plum blackpepper aftertaste.
