2001 Bass Valley Estate SWG Chardonnay

A very impressive Chardonnay. Bright straw colour. The nose displays aroma of biscuit, cashews, butterscotch and fig. The palate is very generous, mouthfilling, with intense flavours of fig, spice, butterscotch and toasted oak, over a layer of aniseed. Excellent length and depth. Clean acid finish, followed by a very long aftertaste of butterscotch, aniseed and fig.
