This is the Thomas Vineyard’s top Shiraz, with production restricted to 170 dozen. Deep crimson mauve purple colour. The nose has that classic Hunter wiff, with aroma of stewed cherry, stewed plum followed by a hint of earth and sweaty saddle. The palate has good weight and depth but needs time to integrate and gain further complexity. Flavours of spice, plum and mocca emerge. Fine, persistent dry tannins with long aftertaste of leather, plum and earth.
