2000 Signatory Vintage Edradour 23 Year Old Symington's Choice Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

This is the first time we've seen Edradour included in Signatory's black-tinned cask strength series. To be precise, it's actually part of a range under the "Symington's Choice" sub-label, celebrating 35 years since the founding of Signatory Vintage in 1988 by Andrew Symington. Needless to say, the direct import pricing compares extremely well against big-brand sherry bombs. A small number have landed, decanted from a single first-fill oloroso sherry butt (cask #3151). The yield was 656 bottles at 56.2% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Other reviews... A beautifully balanced sherry bomb. It is full of sweet woody notes, spices, sherry and dried fruit. The only flaw is that the alcohol is too strong. However, it is not at all evident in the aroma or taste, but only in the aftertaste. - whiskybase.com
