Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue.  The nose delivers a classic Cabernet sniff.  Aroma of cedar, cigar box, blackcurrant and violets.  The palate reveals layers that will need time to integrate.  Confectionary, blackcurrant, spice, cedar and cassis are followed by fine grained, dryish tannins.  Refined structure, with excellent cellaring potential.  Aftertaste of confectionary, cedar and cigar box.

 This is a pleasant, lighter-styled, deep ruby/plum-colored wine with medium body, some weediness in the aromas and flavors, good ripeness in the attack, but a quick, relatively abrupt finish. Anticipated maturity: now-2010.
