The bush vines for this wine were planted in 1889 and that’s the justification for for calling it Tri-centenary Grenache (the vines have spanned three centuries). Matured for 15 months in French hogsheads. Medium body, crimson colour, with mauve edges. Impressive nose, with aroma of raspberry and spice, over an earthy background. The palate displays excellent flavours of raspberry, spice and liquorice. Velvet smooth tannins. Slightly warm aftertaste, with raspberry and spice lingering. Cellar 3-4 years.
