1999 Woodstock Shiraz

An excellent Shiraz from winemaker Scott Collett. Very deep crimson, almost opaque colour, with a hint of brick red on the rim. Aroma of ripe plum, peppermint, stewed fruit and plum. On the palate, the flavours are mouthfilling, although the structure is tightly knit. Concentrated flavours of ripe plum, stewed fruit and mint with blackpepper flavours emerging on the back palate. Perfect balance, with the tannins capable of supporting the generous fruit flavours. Exceptionally long aftertaste. Cellar 4-5 years. (2005 – 2006)
