An outstanding red, but too youthful to be drinking at the moment. Opaque crimson purple colour. Distinct varietal aromas of liquorice, spice, plum, blackberry and blackpepper. The palate flavours are mouthfilling and display excellent length and concentration. Blackberry fruit flavours are enhanced by strong blackpepper, vanilla and plum background flavours. Fine grained, very firm and dry but relatively well balanced tannin structure which will need 4-5 years cellaring to reach its full flavour profile potential. Very long aftertaste of plum, vanilla, blackberry and blackpepper.
