Made from a blend of 88% Cabernet and 12% Merlot. Very deep crimson colour – almost opaque. Aroma of liquorice straps, earth, truffle and spice, over layers of blackcurrant, dark chocolate and just a hint of mint. The palate has good weight, with flavours of dark chocolate, earth, mint and spice dominant. Fine grained, dry lingering tannins. Warm spice and blackpepper back palate. Dry finish. Cellar 3 – 4 years.
