The vineyard is situated on fast draining river flats on the banks of the North Para River at Light Pass. Very deep crimson brick red colour. Aroma of dark chocolate, followed by hints of new leather, confectionary, vanilla and spice. On the palate, generous ripe fruit flavours of dark chocolate, very ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and cedar. Excellent concentration, with fine but slightly furry tannins followed by a very long aftertaste. Cellar 2 – 3 years. (2003 – 2004)
