The label takes on a new dimension in wine bottle packaging, being made of low relief cast aluminium. It literally looks, and is, a sort of medallion that has been stuck to the bottle. The back label does not carry the prestigious look though being made of easily scuffed shiny back paper. Well, after such an intro, what is the wine like?

Bright crimson mauve colour. Medium body. The nose reveals aroma of spice, plum and stewed fruit followed by confectionary and liquorice end notes. The palate flavours are straight forward with plum and stewed fruit evident, with a hint of liquorice. Soft tannins. Short aftertaste of spice and stewed fruit.
