Bright straw colour. The nose leads the wine off to an impressive start, however it does not translate onto the palate. Aromas of barrel ferment, yeast lees, nut, biscuit and butterscotch- classic barrel fermented chardonnay nose- no surprises. Excellent creamy palate texture. The palate is simpler than expected, and a touch light. Flavours of nut, yeast lees and a touch of bitter almond on the end palate which persists onto the aftertaste. Clean finish. Cellar 2-3 years.
