1999 Rosabrook Estate Chardonnay

An outstanding Chardonnay. Bright pale straw colour. Superb nose, showing considerable complexity. Very pronounced aroma of cashews, yeast lees, biscuit and toasted oak. Mouthfilling flavours of nut, almond and cashews with a distinct aniseed end palate, followed by a touch of spicy oak. Excellent length and depth with plenty of complexity on the palate, and just as the secondary flavours begin to fade the flavours of ripe melon and grapefruit emerge. Clean crisp acidity with very long biscuit almond toasted oak and spice aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years. Excellent value for money.
