A very impressive red, made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc and 15% Merlot. The wine has been aged for 18 months in new French oak. Very deep crimson colour with deep mauve crimson edges. The Merlot dominates the nose, with very pronounced aroma of earth and truffle, followed by cedar, spice, blackcurrant and a dark chocolate end note. Mouthfilling palate with again strong Merlot influence. Flavours of earth, spice, truffles and blackcurrant. Excellent weight, soft tannin structure, followed by a long earthy spice, blackcurrant aftertaste. Cellar 4 - 5 years. (2005 - 2006)
