Very light brick red colour, with brownish tinges. The nose displays some stalky aroma, followed by stewed fruit, with hints of spice and just a touch of earth. Subtle varietal character. Light palate weight, with flavours of spice and subtle nuances of cherry and strawberry. The tannins are relatively soft and there is good balance with some persistence of flavour, but lacking power. Fine grained soft tannins. Cellar 2-3 years.
