An excellent follow up to the 1998 vintage, with very similar characteristics. Medium body, brick red colour, with ruby edges. A perfumed, refined nose, classic Cabernet, with aroma of blackcurrant, spice, violets and cedar. On the palate, the elegant structure of the wine manifests itself, although tight knit, the wine opens well and will continue to blossom in the medium term. Flavours of blackcurrant, spice and cedar with a distinctly peppery end palate. Very fine tannins, but on the dry side, yet perfectly balanced. Cellar 3-4 years.
