This is the fifth vintage released by the Oliver Family, produced from the Estates best parcels of Old Vine Shiraz. Matured in combination of American and French oak, this is an excellent follow up on the 1998 Olivers Taranga Shiraz.Opaque crimson mauve colour. Very impressive nose, with lifted aroma of spice, vanilla, dark chocolate and blackberry. Mouthfilling palate, full bodied, generous with strong plum chocolate vanilla and spice flavours. Excellent length and persistence. Fine grained dry tannin structure, followed by very long lingering aftertaste.
