Winemaker, Andrew Hardy has endeavoured to build maximum complexity into this wine. Made from a blend of 60% Cabernet, 29% Merlot with minor additions of Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
Very deep crimson colour with mauve crimson edge. The nose displays complexity together with good varietal character. Aroma of blackcurrant, spice, earth and liquorice abound. The palate displays the strong influence of the blackcurrant, truffle and spice flavours, over a subtle linger of liquorice. Excellent length and depth. Fine grained dry tannins with liquorice and blackcurrant aftertaste. Cellar 3 – 4 years. (2004 – 2005)
