Katnook is one of the very few producers who age their wines for an extended period on oak – in this case, the wine has been matured in new and one year old American and French oak casks for twenty eight months. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of spice, plum, blueberries, vanilla and violets. Mouthfilling palate with excellent depth and concentration of flavour. Flavours of earth and leather emerge over layers of plum, vanilla, blackberry and chocolate. Velvet smooth tannins with very long aftertaste of plum, spice and chocolate.
