1999 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon

Garry and Kathy Jordan have been producing wine from their 300 year old vineyard since 1993. Gary’s parents, Ted and Sheelagh Jordan, purchased the property in 1982 and embarked on an extensive re-planting campaign. The Jordan’s believe that success begins in the vineyard, with vines planted on 600 million year old Cape Granite. The soil profile varies from deep well drained clay-loam to gravely and sandy dupley clay.

Very deep crimson colour with brick red hue. Aroma of tea leaf, cedar, cigar box, confectionary, spice and blackcurrant. The palate delivers a classic Bordeaux profile, with flavours of blackcurrant, cedar and dark chocolate. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance, with very long aftertaste of confectionary, chocolate and blackcurrant.
