Made from a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Very deep crimson brick red colour. Aroma of truffle, earth, leather, cedar and spice followed by end notes of cocoa and dark chocolate. On the palate, flavours of prune, blackcurrant and dark chocolate. Fine grained firmish tannins. The palate does not have the same depth of flavour as the straight Cabernet from Limestone Coast. Aftertaste of liquorice, earth, cedar and ripe plum. Cellar 1 – 2 years. (2002-2003)
