Brilliant straw colour. Distinctive barrel ferment aroma with yeast lees, butterscotch, biscuit and toasted oak dominating. The palate displays considerable complexity with the introduction of grapefruit and citrus flavours that enhance the barrel ferment characteristics of the palate. Excellent concentration, clean, crisp acid finish. The acidity is a touch high but will settle down with 2-3 years of cellaring. Aftertaste of citrus, grapefruit, butterscotch and yeast lees.
