A very impressive Chardonnay. Bright pale straw colour. Excellent nose with very pronounced barrel ferment aroma and flavour. Butterscotch, yeast lees, cashews, biscuit aroma. Mouthfilling palate - displaying very pronounced yet balanced oak and yeast lees over flavours of smoked almond and butterscotch. Excellent length and balance, clean crisp finish, with long spicy aftertaste of butterscotch, yeast lees and cashews. The wine has been fermented in new French Oak hogsheads and left on lees for 7 months. Cellar 2-3 years.
