A much lighter Bishop than the 1998, however, an impressive wine none the less.Deep crimson mauve colour. Lifted nose, perfumed, with aroma of violets, truffle, blackberries and spice, with subtle toasted oak. The palate has excellent depth of flavour, with spice, blackpepper, plum and vanilla dominant. Fine grained soft tannins, followed by a long spice, plum, vanilla and liquorice aftertaste. Cellar 4-5 years.
