1999 Domaine Font de Michelle Chateauneuf du Pape

This Domaine is located next door to Vieux Telegraphe, and as it happens is owned by the nephews of Mr and Mdm Brunzer (owner of Vieux Telegraphe). The red Chateauneuf du Pape wines have constantly been on the improve. The wines are full bodied, very complex showing great style.

Tasting notes: An excellent example of this Rhone style. Very deep crimson colour with mauve edges. The nose displays excellent complexity- perfumed, with notes of spice, plum, raspberry, spice, black pepper and stewed fruit. Mouthfilling palate flavours of spice, confectionary, raspberries and liquorice all sorts. Fine grained dryish tannins. Perfect balance, followed by a very long aftertaste of spice, white pepper, raspberry and liquorice. Cellar 4-5 years.
