1999 Domaine de Courcel Pommard les Rugiens

Very deep crimson colour, with crimson mauve hue. Perfumed nose, with lifted spicy truffle aroma, followed by cherry and strawberry notes, and a hint of confectionary as an end note. The palate flavour profile is yet to develop fully. Flavours of cherry, spice, truffle followed by a hint of earth. Very good palate length, with moderate power wave at this stage, and a hint of liquorice emerging on the back palate. Velvet smooth tannins, followed by a long aftertaste of truffle, spice and cherry.
