1999 De Bortoli Windy Peak Chardonnay

A warm, dry growing season produced Chardonnay with intense depth of flavour. Fruit was picked at a range of maturities to fill the flavour profile, and winemaking included barrel fermentation and lees stirring. The resultant wine has complexity, flavour and balance.

Brilliant gold with green tinges. The nose is rich with fruity rock melon and fig, which continue onto the palate. Creamy barrel ferment characters and balanced fruit flavours combine to create a complex, full flavoured wine with excellent mouth feel. This wine is made for immediate enjoyment or can be cellared for 2-3 years. 13.0% alcohol volume.
