The third sherry matured malt in Claxton's latest outturn comes from Tomintoul, this time it's a refill Oloroso sherry octave yielding just 55 bottles. Angus Dundee PLC have been the owners of Tomintoul since 2000. While they continue to use the bulk of the distillery for their numerous blends, over the last decade significant energy has been invested in bottling and marketing Tomintoul as a single malt of distinction. Having said that, serious age statements remain uncommon. 46.3% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
