GRAPE VARIETY
Syrah. Average age of the vines (more than 60 years old) is a guarantee of exceptional quality.

SOIL
Chlorite and ferruginous mica-schists, gore and granite, in loess depression and earth veins. The parcel of land producing this wine is located on the edge of the Côte Blonde .

HARVEST
Hand harvested at peak maturity.

VINIFICATION
The grapes ferment in open wooden vats after total de-stemming. A treading ensures a good extraction of the colour and tannins. The temperature of fermentation does not exceed 32°C.

MATURING
In oak casks (225L), of which a third is new. This wine is unfiltered and unfined. Can be kept for 20 years and more.

TASTING
Colour : Deep purple red.
Nose :Raspberry, a hint of violet, a touch of olive and "tapenade", of rosemary, with spice dominant.
Palate : full flavoured, elegant, very well-structured and balanced.
