Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo from a vineyard planted in 1975
Region: A cru vineyard situated in the commune of Barbaresco in the northwest region of Piemonte.
Production: Usual alcoholic fermentation with a brief maceration on theskins prior to malolactic fermentation. 50% is aged for 2 years in largeoak casks while the remaining 50% is kept in small 300 litre barrels.
Characteristics: A resolute, well structured wine, with a generally intense,penetrating bouquet that lasts enticingly and persistently on the palate:There is suggestion of spices, white truffles, hazelnuts and roastedalmonds. An excellent wine for ageing thanks to its structure and carefulwine making techniques that have balanced perfectly the, bouquet, flavourand tannins.
Serve: at room temperature after decanting and allowing time to breathe.
