1999 Burge Family Clochemerle Grenache Cabernet

Another very limited production wine, with only 525 cases being made. Medium body, with crimson mauve colour. Perfumed nose, with aromas of spice, liquorice, raspberry and blackcurrant, followed by a violet end note. The palate is filled with the flavours of ripe plums, earth, truffle and spice- a touch lighter than the Olive Hill ‘Rhone’ blend. Fine grained, dry tannins, with a distinct confectionary, liquorice back palate, followed by aftertaste of ripe plums, liquorice and spice. Cellar 2-3 years.
