Grape variety: Barbera (This is the flagship line of the Braida Winery and is known as a Super Barbera).
Vineyard: Bricco dell’Uccellone and selected vines in the Rocchetta Tanaro Vineyard in Piemonte.
Production: Fermentation on skins for 20 days. Following this, it is then aged for 12 months in barrels made from oak of various ages. It is then bottled the following summer. It is then allowed to age in bottle for a further 12 months.
Characteristics: Intense Ruby red with touches of garnet. A rich complex nose with notable concentration and depth, with hints of red berries, spice, vanilla and liquorice. It is dry, generous and full-bodied with fine tannin structure.
Serve: 18ºC
Try With: A perfect accompaniment to rich meat dishes, roasts and mature cheeses.
